Mrs. Jamie Mae Jefferson, 76, of Osceola, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at Osceola Therapy & Living Center. Born June 5, 1936, in Louisville, Miss., to the late James Ford and Juanita Finley Curry, she was a retired factory worker and a member of Grace Temple.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jefferson; one daughter, Era Mae Shine; and one son, Walter Jefferson Jr.

She leaves three daughters, Deborah Jefferson Logan of Osceola, Valerie Firdham of Flint, Mich. and Elaine Robinson of Osceola;

Two sons, Lee Andrew Jefferson of Atlanta and Bishop Tony L. and Valeria Jefferson Sr. of Osceola; and

Twenty-five grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
