Ruby King

Mrs. Ruby King, 74, of Jonesboro, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 20, 2012, surrounded by family and friends at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She loved to crochet, embroider and knit. She was a member of the Extension Homemakers Club, the Potlickers Fellowship Bible Study Group, and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Crawford and Agnes Daniel; and brothers Edwin Daniel (Lora) and Ray Daniels.

She is survived by her husband, Earl King of Jonesboro;

Her sons Paul (and Cathy) King of Jonesboro and Mark (and Rhonda) King of Magnolia;

A daughter, Jennifer Fowler of Jonesboro;

Her grandchildren, Brad (and Kasandra) King, Josh (and Brittany) King, Cameron King, Abigail King, Katie (and Jon) Hamilton and Molly Fowler;

Her great-grandchildren, Emma Claire King and Collins Alexis King

Two brothers, J.W. (and Barbra) Daniel of Rockford, Ill., and James (and Cleta) Daniel of Jonesboro; and

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers were her sons, Paul and Mark King, and grandsons Brad, Josh, and Cameron King and Jon Mark Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers included her granddaughters and great-granddaughters, nieces and nephews, and the members of the Potlickers Fellowship Bible Study Group.

Visitation was held at Emerson Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Friday. Funeral services were at Emerson Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Jerry Jolly and the Rev. Andy Neal officiating. Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1138 E.
