Mary Webb Hopper

Mrs. Mary Webb Hopper, 84, of Hot Springs, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Hot Springs. Mrs. Hopper was born Sept. 12, 1927, at Gould to the late Delbert Webb and the late Margaret Fendley. She worked for 40 years as an elementary school teacher for the public school system. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Helena and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, T.C. Hopper; and a grandson, Corey Hopper.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Wayne Hopper (and Ann) of Melbourne and Lynn Steven Hopper (and Kathy) of Hot Springs;

A granddaughter, Rachel (and Brent) Coney of Bryant;

One great-grandson, Kyson Hopper of Melbourne;

Two sisters, Opal Butcher of Jones Mill and Lois Hammons of Magnet Cove; and

A brother, Delbert Webb (and Gloria) of Pine Bluff.

Graveside services for Mary Webb Hopper were held at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. The Rev. Cliff Bernard officiated.
