Alton Monroe Sanders Jr.

Alton Monroe Sanders Jr., 61, of Paragould, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born April 22, 1951, in Mississippi, he was a retired mechanic and a Baptist. On July 31, 1971, he was united in matrimony with Donna Collins Sanders, who survives at the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Monroe Sanders Sr. and Lavell Cavitt Green; and two daughters, Laquata Mae Sanders and Juanita Fay Sanders.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Sanders leaves his son, Billy Sanders of Paragould;

Four sisters, Faye Quarles of Paragould, Teresa Sanders of Jonesboro, and Penny Harrington and Tina Harrington of Blytheville; and

Three brothers, Terry D. Sanders of Jonesboro, Jesse (and Sandra) Sanders of Gosnell, and Teddy Wayne Sanders of Blytheville.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Matt Smith, will be held at Wilson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery
