Bryan 'Meat' Davis

Mr. Bryan "Meat" Davis, 36, of Blytheville, passed from this life Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Great River Medical Center.

Born in Blytheville to Danny Dawane and Connie Edwards Davis, he attended the Church of Nazarene and was employed at Precision Technology as plant manager.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Lynn Willing Davis of the home;

His mother, Connie Davis of Blytheville;

His children, Dakota "Cody" Davis, Tanner Austyn Davis, Charles "C.J." Simmons, Abby Rye Simmons and Olivia Grace Davis, all of the home;

A sister, Dana Davis Gamble and her husband, Jeremy, of Manila;

His aunts and uncles, Jimmy and Teresa Edwards of Manila and JoAnn and Paul Buley and Stan Davis, all of Tampa, Fla.;

His mother- and father-in-law, Don and Tawnya Willing of Blytheville;

Two brothers-in-law, Teddy Willing and wife, Danyaile, of Berryville, and Tim Willing and wife, Stacey, of Blytheville.

Bryan was a member of the NRA and past Blytheville Sportsplex Baseball Commissioner, coach of the Precision Technology 9- and 10-year-old baseball team and the 10-year-old all star baseball team. He was an avid sportsman and collected baseball cards, guns and other sports memorabilia; he also enjoyed golfing, bowling and baseball. Bryan was an avid fan of anything Arkansas Razorbacks.

Bryan enjoyed life to the fullest and had a heart of gold. He loved joking around and was a positive person. His greatest joy in life was being around children. If a child didn't have a father, he would become one for them. Bryan was extremely devoted to his family, friends and his job and he lived a life that showed by example. His favorite saying was "It Is What It Is." He knew he had to accept life for all he would experience -- good times, bad times and everything in between didn't matter -- he thought everyday was special because "It Is What It Is!"

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Cobb Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, it is the family and Bryan's desire to give memorials to the 10-year-old all stars baseball team for expenses involved in attending the state tournament.
