Arilis Lee Wattle, 73, of Blytheville, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, in Blytheville.

Born Jan. 21, 1939, in Caruthersville, Mo., he was the son of the late Finis Wattle and Rachel Elizabeth Lovett.

He was united in marriage to Wanda Teeter April 15, 1978. He served 28 years in the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the military, he was employed at Farmers Bank in Blytheville for many years.

He was preceded in death by on brother, Charlie Wattle.

Survivors include his wife, Wand Wattle of Blytheville;

Two daughters, Janine Wattle of Tucson, Ariz., and Janet (and Frank) Espino of Phoenix, Ariz.;

Two step-children, Vicki (and Doug) Schrimsher of Atoka, Tenn., and Mark Trout of Dexter, Mo.;

Five sisters, Betty Gregory of Caruthersville, Mo., Mary Tachiro, Dorothy Salad, Gloria Southerland and Jerry Compini, all of California;

One brother, Ronald Wattle; and

Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Ruddle Road Church of God with the Rev. James Decanter officiating. The family received visitors Tuesday at Powell Funeral Home in Steele. Burial will follow the funeral service at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
