James 'Jim' Carey

Mr. James, "Jim" Carey, 57, of Etowah, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at his home.

Born in Jefferson City, Mo., he was a retired policeman and retired truck driver and a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Carey and Rhudene Carey Bennett.

He leaves his wife, Kemberly Holt Carey of Etowah;

Four daughters, Deanna (and William) Tyer of Yazoo City, Miss., Beth (and John) Tackett of Pontotoc, Miss., Jennifer (and Chris) Beasley of Flora, Miss., and Candace Carey of Bentonia, Miss.;

Two sisters, Janice Stroud of Harrisburg and Sherry Oatsvall of Etowah;

One brother, Mac (and Katie) Carey of Lepanto; and

Eight grandchildren, Cody, Cameron, Hayden and Bailee Tyer of Yazoo City, Miss., Allison and Alana Tackett of Pontotoc, Miss. and Dalton and Logan Beasley of Flora, Miss.

The family received visitors form 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 ,at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Randy Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah.
