Jessie 'Floyd' McElroy

Mr. Jessie "Floyd" McElroy, 71, of Monette, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Egypt, Ark., he was the son of the late Eugene and Dorothy Hathcoat McElroy and had been a Monette resident since 1972. He was a retired employee of Masner Farms in Monette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Molly McElroy in 2002; one daughter, Debbie Newcomb; one grandson, Chad McElroy; one brother and two sisters.

He is survived by one daughter, Beverly Grady of Buckeye;

Two sisters, Beatrice Gulley of Jonesboro and Betty Baldridge of Monette; and

Four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland with the Rev. Scot Lloyd officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
