Loise Lorene Hill

Mrs. Loise Lorene Hill, 90, of Manila, widow of Mr. James Byron Hill, passed from this life Sunday April 1, 2012, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late William and Willie Simmons Murphy and had been a lifelong Manila resident. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Ray Hill; three brothers; two sisters; and three grandchildren.

She leaves five sons; Jessie Hill, James Hill, Jackie Hill, Johnny Hill and Michael "Steven," Hill, all of Manila;

Six daughters, Maxine York of Sulpher Springs, Lucille Payne of Sullivan, Mo., Barbara Mullinex and Nora Kisner, both of Manila, Martha McCoy of Otega, N.Y., and Betty Beck of Wichita, Kan; and

Forty-six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with the Rev. Robert White officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.
