"Good Samaritan" charges $200 for tire

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

To the editor:

I would like to say "thank you" to the "good" Samaritan who stopped to help the red Ford F10 pickup truck with Oklahoma plates with a flat tire on I-55 on the outskirts of Blytheville.

My brother was trying to make it to our sister's home in Gideon, Mo., when he had a tire blow out and no spare.

I am sure this "good Samaritan" could easily see my brother appeared extremely emaciated and sickly. That is because he is dying and was trying to make it home to his family. This "good Samaratin" got a used tire, put it on the truck and took my brother's last $200 for helping him. My brother's sisters had to rescue him because he had no money left for gasoline and ran out on the way to Gideon.

Thank God there are such "good" Christian people out there!
