Henrietta Orene Penney

Mrs. Henrietta Orene Penney, 95, of Marmaduke, died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Evergreen Health and Rehab in Rector.

She was born Jan. 22, 1917, in Oak Grov,e and married the Rev. Chester Penney Dec. 24, 1936, in Greene County. Mrs. Penney was a retired nurse and worked 7-1/2 years as an LPN at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was a Methodist but attended Marmaduke First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Chester Penney; one son, Eugene Penney; one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Tommy Clubb; four sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include one brother, Jesse T. Walden of Michigan;

A daughter-in-law, Wanda Penney of Blytheville;

Five grandchildren, Renee Tittle and husband, Tommy, of Jonesboro, Scotty Penney of Blytheville, Kevin Clubb of Florida, Barry Penney and wife, Tammy, of Blytheville and Julie Baker of Marmaduke.

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Justin Beggs, Jessica Lauwers, Janae McCallister, Keelie Baker, Kasey Baker, Peyton Clubb, Jonathan Penney, Rebecca Penney, Kaitlyn Penney, and Miley Clubb; and by one great-great-granddaughter, Josslyn Hawkins.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Marmaduke First Baptist Church with Kim Bridges and Wayne Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery.
