Madeline Carol Heimer Givens

Mrs. Madeline Carol Heimer Givens, 69, of Osceola, died of pneumonia Saturday, March 10, 2012, at South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola. Born June 25, 1942, in Stratford, she was a teacher and principal for the Osceola School District, a member of the Church of Christ in Osceola and the Osceola Historical Society, and an employee of the Mississippi County Library System.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Matalee Heimer.

Mrs. Givens leaves her husband, Phillip Wayne Givens of Osceola;

Three sons, Jay Matthew (and Julie) Givens of Blue Eye, Mark Emmitt (and Freda) Givens of Marion, and Carl Wayne (and Melissa) Givens of West Plains;

One sister, Peggy Marie Heimer of Edmond; and

Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Jon Binkley, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Osceola. Burial will follow at Gospel Hill in Pottersville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Paragould Children's Home.
