Bordy Dorsey

Mr. Bordy Dorsey, 63, of Charles City, Va., died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012. Born Feb. 23, 1949, in Earle, he was a retired truck driver of the Baptist faith. His parents, Robert Dorsey Sr. and Viola Duncan Dorsey, preceded him in death, as did two brothers, B.B. Owens and Robert Dorsey Jr.

He leaves his wife, Carol Dorsey;

Two daughters, Viola Sone of East Hartford, Ct., and Geneva Green of Charles City;

Three step-daughters, Shemika, Sherrice and Sherelle Dorsey of Charles City;

One son, Bordy Dorsey of Hartford;

Four step-sons, Kevin and Mark Lauray of Hartford and Keith Lauray and Daniel Dorsey of Charles City;

Eight sisters, Betty Owens of Memphis, Mae Jackson of Blytheville, Gracie Golden of West Memphis, Ethel Dorsey of Blytheville, and Louella Brown, Priscilla Lewis, Melinda Franklin and Roberta Goins, all of Blytheville;

Three brothers, Clemmie Dorsey of Bloomington, Ind., and Cleo and Jessie Dorsey of Alexandria, La.; and

Fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville with funeral services set for 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Moses Black officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
