Leap Day: Recalibrating our calendar with the Earth's orbit
Wednesday, February 29, 2012
February is a bit longer than usual this year with the added day of Feb. 29, or "Leap Day," as many know it. This occurrence on the Gregorian Calendar is a date that occurs in most years that are evenly divisible by four, such as 2004, 2008 and 2012, and will not occur again until 2016.
