George Thomas McHan Jr.

Mr. George Thomas McHan Jr., 51, of Gosnell, passed from this life Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, Tenn.

Born in Lake Village to George Thomas and Alice Carol Jenkins McHan, he worked in the castor department for Nucor Steel-Hickman and attended the Church of Christ. George was an avid outdoorsman. When he was not outside hunting or fishing, he was spending time with his grandchildren, who lovingly called him G-Daddy.

George is survived by his father, George Thomas McHan Sr. of Memphis, and his mother, Alice Carol Jenkins McHan of Conway;

Three children, Kyle McHan of Rogers, Clint McHan of Blytheville and Chelsea McHan of Gosnell;

A brother, Scott Lambert and wife, Pamela, of Anchorage, Ak;

Five sisters, Carol Williford of Conway, Beth Wade and husband, Paul, of Ava, Mo., Becky Kicklighter and husband, Dwain, of Memphis, Jennifer Tate and husband, Josh, of Jonesboro and Mandy Yates and husband, Jeff, of Cabot; and

Two grandchildren, Avery McHan and Heidi McHan.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Tuesday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cobb Funeral Home. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
