Mary Mozelle Wheeler Schneider

Mary Mozelle Wheeler Schneider, 70, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was born on May 3, 1941, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Harold P. and Lucy Glasson Wheeler of Gaffney, S.C. She graduated from Gaffney High School, received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Duke University and a Master of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina. She performed volunteer work for The Weekend Theater in Little Rock and for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure of Arkansas. She was a member of the Little Rock Duplicate Bridge Club, enjoyed swimming, sewing, and was an avid reader. She loved her grandchildren dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Harold P. Wheeler Jr. and William H. G. Wheeler.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Daniel Lewis Schneider and his wife, Mary Diane Sears Schneider, of Amarillo, Texas, and Dr. Michael Glasson Schneider and his fiancée, Rachel Reynolds of Little Rock;

Two grandchildren Cecelia and Jack Schneider of Little Rock and David and Lucy Schneider of Amarillo.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock, (501)224-8300.
