Gracie L.V. Bolin Vignes

Jesus called Gracie L.V. Bolin Vignes home Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at the age of 82. She was born March 31, 1929, to John H. and Edna Bevill Bolin. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rosetta; a brother, W.F. "Sonny" Bolin; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bolin of Blytheville; and grandparents Rube and Gracie Bevill of Gosnell.

She was born and raised in Blytheville, and worked at the S.H. Kress and Sterling Stores, where she became assistant manager before making her residence in New Orleans for the past 55 years. She retired from the Uddo Company, where she was secretary and bookkeeper for 35 years. She was a long standing member of Crescent City Baptist Church in Metairie, La., where she served as choir president and Sunday School teacher. She was a devoted Christian, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend to many. She enjoyed life, caring for her family, and traveling.

She leaves two daughters and their husbands, Yolanda and Bill Cameron of Austin, Texas, and Windie and Glen Muller of Kenner, La.;

Four grandsons, David and Michael Cameron of Austin, and Matthew and Joshua Muller of Kenner;

Three sisters and their husbands, Jeanette and Charles Storey of Rogersville Ala., Kay and Leo Medlock and Nancy and Gerald Lloyd, all of Blytheville; and

Her best lady friend, Jerry Setze of Metairie, La.

The family would like to give thanks to the nurses and staff at Chateau Living Center and St. Catherine's Hospice for their care.

Visitation for family was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, and for friends and family on Monday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m-noon. The service was a celebration of her life, and interment followed at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie, La.
