Mary Catheline McCormick

Mrs. Mary Catheline McCormick, 84, of Campbell, Mo., formerly of Piggott, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at her home. She was born Jan. 12, 1928, in Humbolt, Tenn., to the late Albert and Flora Speer and was a member of Calvary's Call Church in Campbell.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd McCormick; one daughter; Paulette Turner; four brothers, Hollis, Roy, Vernon and Ed Speer; and one sister, Lottie Reeves.

Mrs. McCormick leaves five daughters, Brenda Glover and her husband, Gaylon, of Holcomb, Mo., Patsy Ann Holifield and her husband, Michael, of Jonesboro, Mary Ruth Williams and her husband, Steve, of Campbell, Kathy Collins of Piggott and Shelia Crane and her husband, Luther of Campbell;

One son, Douglas McCormick and his wife, Susan, of Blytheville;

One brother, Robert Speer of Trenton;

One sister, Lavern Scholtz of Chicago; and

Twenty-four grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Luther Crane officiating. Burial will follow at the Piggott Cemetery. The family received visitors at 6 p.m. Saturday.
