Mrs. Cindy Kay Houser Smith, 34, of Gosnell, passed from this life Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born in Hammond, Ind., to Charles Roy and Lilly Mae McGarrity Houser, Cindy was the crew leader in housekeeping for Nucor Steel and attended Ruddle Road Church of God. Cindy loved music and shopping and enjoyed collecting elephants and Beanie Babies, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and family.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Melissa Houser and Lilly Houser II.

She leaves her husband, Kevin Smith, of Macon, Ga.;

Three children, Skyler Smith, Savannah Smith and Caleb Smith, all of Gosnell;

Her mother, Lilly Mae McGarrity of Blytheville;

Three brothers, Roger Houser, of Gerry, N.Y., Richard Houser and Charles Houser II, both of Jamestown, N.Y.;

Six sisters, Nancy Hall and her husband, Randall, of Gosnell, Cheryl Houser and significant other, Laura Grave,s of Blytheville, Marcia Houser, Jessica Howard and husband, Christopher, and Janette Houser, all of South Dayton, N.Y.; and

Her step-father, James Larry Sledge of Tuckerman, and step-mother, Carolyn Houser Culver, of Gerry, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held at noon Friday in Sharps Chapel in Cherry Valley, Ark., with the Rev. Danny Pankey and Pastor J.L. McGarrity officiating. Burial will follow in Akins Cemetery.
