James Robert Lovelace

Mr. James Robert Lovelace, 93, of Blytheville, passed from this life to be with his Savior on Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at his home. He was born May 28, 1918, in Lauderdale County, Tenn., to the late John Henry and Luzilla Lovelace. He was a part of the "Greatest Generation" who served their country willingly in the United States Army during WWII. He worked at Simmons Metal as a sheet metal worker in his younger years and retired as a Civil Service Engineer from Eaker Air Force Base. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge as well as a devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church in Blytheville.

Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed meeting his friends at McDonald's for early morning breakfast. His dedication to God, family and friends, knew no measure. He was a man who required little but gave in abundance. Integrity and honor were the trademarks of his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Henry, Archie, David, Annie May, Bessie and Ophelia; his loving wife of 61 years, Margie Marie Miller Lovelace; a son, Robert Gene Lovelace; a devoted and loving son-in-law, Larry S. Krutz, and two infant great-grandchildren, Larry Dean Lovelace III and Emily Pauline Lovelace.

He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Lovelace Krutz;

A son, Larry Dean Lovelace and wife, Mae Elizabeth, all of Blytheville;

A very special daughter in law, Wanda Lovelace Phillips and her husband, Ken, of Springdale;

HIs grandchildren and great-grandchildren, James Rodney Lovelace and son, Brock of Collierville, Tenn., Larry Dean Lovelace II and wife, Sevin, and daughter, Sabrina, of Blytheville, Robert Alan Lovelace and wife, Shelia, and children, Daniel, Nathan and Elizabeth of Stillwater, Okla., Hoyt Wayne Lovelace and wife, Kim, and children, Chloe, Ariel and Shiloh of Jacksonville, N.C., Larry Jason Krutz and wife, Jennifer, and children, Abby, Eli, Tatum and Liam, of Cleveland, Miss., Tonya Marie Holdmeier and husband, Brian, and children Matthew and Joey, of Blytheville;

A special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann and Winfred Miller of Baton Rouge, La.;

As well as a host of very dear, in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He is now at peace with his Lord, which is of the greatest comfort to his family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Hoyt Lovelace and Dr. Larry Jason Krutz officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cobb Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or Trinity Baptist Church.
