Ruth Garrett Bonds

Mrs. Ruth Garrett Bonds, 80, of Sikeston, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 26, 1931, to the late Wash and Eugene White Garrett and was a member of Greer's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston where she served on the Mother's Board.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Bonds.

Mrs. Bonds leaves one son, Patrick Bonds of Sikeston;

One sister, Gertrude Garrett;

Three grandchildren; and

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greer's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. E.H. Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Haywood City Cemetery in Haywood City, Mo. Friends may call Saturday from noon-1 p.m.
