Estella White Crenshaw

Mrs. Estella White Crenshaw, 90, of Blytheville, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, in Destrehan. Born in Wheatley, she moved to Blytheville as a child. She was married to Cecil Crenshaw in Blytheville Dec. 25, 1938. She joined Morning Star Baptist Church in 1937 and later became a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.

Her parents, John and Betty White, and her husband, Cecil, along with seven brothers and seven sisters, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Crenshaw leaves ten sons, James Crenshaw of Blytheville, Lucious Crenshaw of Richmond, George (and Barbara) Crenshaw, Oliver (and Elvira) Crenshaw, Mose (and Mary) Crenshaw, Benjamin Crenshaw, Ormond Troy (and Rozella) Crenshaw, all of Gary, Ind., Willie (and Tasha) Crenshaw of Memphis, Cecil (and Schniver) Crenshaw of Alexandria and Fredrick (and Stephanie) Crenshaw of Loganville;

Eight daughters, Mrs. Galena McGrew and Mrs. Rosie (and Larry) Rendell of Gary, Mrs. Betty Lewis of Warren, Ms. Dorothy Goosby of Little Rock, Mrs. Lavern Joseph of Michigan City, Mrs. Verlinia Shabazz of Atlanta, Mrs. Myrtle Palmer of Destrehan, and Mrs. Dottie (and Lloyd) Franklin of Jacksonville;

One brother, Emmitt White of Gary;

Sixty grandchildren, 93 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren; and

Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Blytheville, and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the services begin at noon. The funeral services will also be held at St. Paul, pastored by the Rev. Johnnie E. Moore. The eulogy will be delivered by the Rev. Charles Morgan. Burial will follow at Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
