Mrs. Julie Irene Stanton Lauderman Sanders, 84, of Osceola, died of heart failure Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola. Born June 11, 1927, in Tippah County, she was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Gosnell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Carl and Willie Velma McMillian Smith; and her husbands, James Calvin Stanton, William Earl Lauderman and Monroe Sanders; her daughter, Doris Stanton; her son, Tommy Lee Stanton; two sisters; and seven brothers.

Mrs. Sanders leaves six daughters, Carolyn (and Tony) Maynard and Brenda Allen of Osceola, Mary (and Roy) Tidwell of Friendship, Velma (and Scott Coleman) Pipkin of Blytheville, Lois Irene (and Bob) Ford of Roseburg, and Donna Pitzer of Bridgeport;

Three sons, James Leon (and Kathleen) Stanton and Sammy Earl (and Louise) Lauderman of Osceola and Charles (and Crystal) Stanton of Selmer;

Two sisters, Lois Durham of Decatur and Joyce White of Blytheville;

One brother, Frank Smith of Conway; and

Twenty-nine grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. James England, will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola at 2 p.m. today. Burial will follow at Bassett Cemetery in Bassett.
