Margie 'Turkey' Daniel

Mrs. Margie "Turkey" Daniel, 76, of Blytheville, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at her home. She was born in the Promiseland Community, and was a member of Morning Star Church, where she was an usher, choir member, Sunday school teacher, and a member of the General Baptist District Association.

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by two sons, Jessie Stewart and Jeffrey Stewart; and her brother, Jessie Andrews Jr.

Mrs. Daniel leaves her husband, William Daniel;

Two daughters, Linda Stewart of Blytheville and Sharise (and Israel) Falknerof of Memphis;

Two sons, Larry Andrews and Ronald "Frank" Stewart of Bethany;

Two granddaughters who were reared as daughters, Melissa Shlonda (and Ruben) Walton and Ciera Stewart;

A great-granddaughter, Kiera Jackson;

Two sisters, Carolyn (and Christopher) Jackson and Gloria (and Robert) Darrough, both of Little Rock;

A brother, Calvin Weatherall and sister-in-law Shirley Andrews, both of Blytheville;

A close friend, Mary Ann McKinney; and

Fourteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and others.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Morning Star Baptist Church on Promiseland Road. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Frederick Clay, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1630 West Street, Blytheville, where the pastor is the Rev. Johnnie E. Moore. The eulogy will be delivered by the Rev. Christopher Jackson. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens.
