Shirley Ann Nance, 69, of Memphis, formerly of Blytheville, went to be with her heavenly father Nov. 1, 2011, at Trinity Hospice House in Collierville, Tenn., after a year-long battle with breast cancer. Shirley was born Jan. 27, 1942, to the late Robert and Thelma Ray in St. Louis. Shirley was employed by Lansky Bros. at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis where she worked for ten years as Assistant Manager of the Lucky Duck Gift Shop.

She leaves her children, Cindy and Kevin McLarty of Collierville and Jeff and Hope Nance of Cordova, Tenn.;

Five grandchildren, Derek McLarty and Kyle Mclarty of Collierville, Brock and Diane Yarbrough and Adam Yarbro of Cordova;

A great-grandson, Tristan Yarbro of Cordova; and

Her sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Ed Sneed of St. Peters, Mo.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Martin and the staff at the West Clinic and the Baptist Trinity Hospice House for the care and compassion they showed to Shirley and her family during their time of need.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating and visitation Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. also at Cobb Funeral Home.
