Edyth Mae Gilpatrick

Mrs. Edyth Mae Gilpatrick, 92, of Leachville, died Thursday, Oct. 27,, 2011, in her daughter's home.

Born to the late Alex and Dore Campbell Skidmore in Van Buren County, she was a retired teacher and member of the People of Praise United Pentecostal Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Gilpatrick leaves four daughters, Dora Biggerstaff and Deloras Austin of Leachville, Genevia Richards of Cahokia, Ill., and Dola Henderson of Atkins;

One brother, Carl Skidmore of DeQueen;

Fourteen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Bobby Austin officiating. Burialfollowed at the Leachville cemetery with Robert Clowers, Benny Blackman, Cody Austin, Eric Mauldin, Wayne Austin and Kenny Mauldin as pallbearers.
