JoAnne Elizabeth Rogers

Mrs. JoAnne Elizabeth Rogers, 79, of Paragould, former longtime Leachville resident, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was born in Paragould to the late Ray and Hazel Davis Carter. Mrs. Rogers was a 1950 graduate of Paragould High School, and was retired from the former Brown Shoe Company in Leachville. She was a member of the Leachville Church of Christ.

She leaves one son, Robert (Bobby) Rogers of Leachville;

One daughter, Terrie Neal Branch and her husband, Harry, of Harrison;

Two brothers, Tim Carter of Rector and Phil Carter of Paragould;

Three sisters, Almena Gonser of Paragould, Dorothy Campbell of Cicero and Shirley Lamb of Rector;

Four grandchildren, Travis and Neal Rogers of Charleston, Tommy John McFarland of Seattle, Wash., and Washington and Meredith Draper of Rogers; and

One great-grandchild, Shelby Draper of Rogers.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Howard Funeral Service in Leachville. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Leachville Cemetery.
