Mr. Allen "Sonny" King, 68, of Blytheville, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at his home.

He was born in Blytheville and had been employed as a truck driver and farm worker. He had worked for the City of Blytheville as a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen King and Della Jenkins; his sister, Emma King; and four brothers, Johnny Lee Davis, Harold Davis, Calvin King and Jerome King.

Mr. King was a member of New Faith Baptist Church.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mamie Pearl King of the home;

Three daughters, Renee King and Sandra King, both of Chicago, and Kym (and Ken) James of Blytheville;

Two step-daughters, Linda Ellis and Christie Ellis, both of Forrest City;

Four sons, Allen King and Carl King, both of Chicago, Stacy Lee and Johnallen King, both of Blytheville;

A step-son, Rupert Ellis Jr. of Memphis;

A nephew, Tyrone Davis, who was reared in the home as a son;

Ten sisters, Helen Pyles of Cleveland, Ohio, Joyce (and Archie) Shurn and Sharon (and Joseph) Parahams, all of South Bend, Ind., Jewel King of Greenvsille, Cheryl (and Earl) Foster of Greer, S.C., Aileen King, Essie (and Phillip) Porter and Renetta Bemmer, all of Denver, Colo., Alicia (and Tyrone) Green of Atlanta, and Raphaela Taylor of Los Angeles;

Six brothers, James King of Dallas, Arnold (and Donna) King and Ronnie (and Carol) King, all of Denver, Bobby (and Sharon) King of Los Angeles, Alfonso King of San Diego, and Charles (and Rachel) King of Ranch Cucamongo, Calif.;

Forty grandchildren with another granddaughter expected;

Fifteen great-grandchildren; and

Nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Church, 501 E. McHaney in Blytheville with the Rev. Elmo Chocolet officiating. The Rev. Timothy Rogers is pastor. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at McDonald-Horne Funeral home in Blytheville, which is in charge of arrangements.
