Bobby J. 'Buffalo' McAuley

Mr. Bobby J. "Buffalo" McAuley, 77, of Memphis, passed from this life Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.

Born in the Lonoak community near Blytheville to Willie Homer and Mattie Canada McAuley, he moved to Memphis 30 years ago, where he was a supervisor at the Cottonwood Converting Paper Company for 24 years.

"Buffalo" was an avid fisherman, and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen McAuley; and one brother, Clifton McAuley.

He leaves his wife, Anne Needham McAuley of Memphis

Three children, Jeffery McAuley and his wife, Gabriella, of Lawton, Okla., JoAnna McAuley English and her husband, Paul, of Festus, Mo., and Randall McAuley and his wife, Angela, of Memphis

Eight grandchildren;

Eleven great-grandchildren; and

A host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Jeffery McAuley officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. Saturday until service time. Condolences may be emailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net
