Dorothy Austin, 82, of Blytheville, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born in Ripley, Tenn., to the late William Robert and Virginia Ross, she was the widow of the Rev. Jim P. Austin, her husband of 47 years.
She enjoyed quilting, British comedies on AETN and her family. Mrs. Austin retired from C&J Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Joe Austin; a granddaughter, Tracy Lewis; three sisters and two brothers.

She leaves two sons, Roy Austin of Blytheville and Stephen Austin and his wife, Shawna, of Little Rock;

Two daughters, Linda Overman and her husband, Lewis, of Waynesville, N.C., and Vickie Forrest and her husband, Tim, of Pine Bluff;

Two brothers, Robert Ross of Idabell, Okla., and Pete Ross of Osceola;

Four grandsons, Keith Austin, Matt Forrest, James Overman and David Overman;

Three granddaughters, Kimberly Bryson, Lori Hayden and Gina "Dot" Burns; and

Seventeen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. today at Cobb Funeral Home.
