Mr. Clarence Alvin Wilson, 80, of Manila, died Wednesday Aug. 31, 2011, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in Warren, he was the son of the late Dewey and Dovie Wilson and had been a longtime resident of Canal Point, Fla., before making his home in Manila four months ago. He was a retired welder with Glades Pump Corp. in Florida and he enjoyed buying and selling various items.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmo Wilson and Everett Wilson; and one daughter, Mary Winstead.

He leaves two sons, Thomas Wayne Wilson of Manila and Alvin Lee Wilson of Lizella, Ga.;

Five daughters, Nancy Ann McCallister of Canal Point, Fla., Bonnie Lou Crutchfield of Aiken, S.C., Connie Faye Byrd of Lizella, Ga., and Joyce Marie Patterson and Peggy Ann Weber of Manila;

One brother, Dewey Joe Wilson of Bald Knob;

One sister, Novell Treadway of Batesville; and

Twenty-nine grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Guests may sign the online guest register at www.howardfuneralservice.com
