Arthur 'Pete' Groves

Arthur "Pete" Groves, 91, of Osceola, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Osceola Healthcare.

Born in Ripley, Tenn., he was a retired farmer, member of New Bethel Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifetime resident of Mississippi County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Groves.

He leaves one daughter, Shirley Harshman of Osceola;

One son, Tommy Groves of Osceola;

One sister, Dorothy Patton of Blytheville;

One brother, Robert Ross of Idabel, Okla.;

Two granddaughters, Pam Harshman and Mandy Wright, both of Osceola; and

Three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Bro. Bobby Tidwell and Bro. Jay Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Ermen Lane Cemetery in Osceola.
