Thoughts on BGRAA, safari photos

Sunday, July 31, 2011

To the editor:

I would like to comment on some of the articles in the July 24, 2011, edition of the Courier News.

BGRAA -- There seems to be no accountability for the executive jobs in this city. I know you can't please everybody all the time, but no one seems to try anymore.

The safari -- As for myself, I don't appreciate seeing pictures of animals that have been shot with high-powered rifles on the front page. I know hunting is a big sport, but the people that like the sport can keep it to themselves and not display it on the front page of the newspaper for all to see. I would like to know what happened to the meat from all those animals that were killed. The money that was spent on that trip could have been better used for the Animal Shelter or the Humane Society.

Thanks to all who have contributed to cleaning up our town.
