Praying for answers in IRS mess

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

To the editor:

I have been living in this town all my life. We have raised our children here. I try my best to have a positive attitude. I pray for Blytheville. I try to focus on the good things.

But after reading the newspaper and hearing this stuff about this $3 million and about the IRS is involved with our town and nobody seems to know where the money went to, that just blows my mind. I'm not trying to stir up a stink or anything like that, but somebody has to know somethingn (they're just not talking).

Poor Mr. James Sanders. I bet he was shocked, just becoming our mayor and all, and finding out all this stuff must have been hard on him. But ever who's fault this is, it will come out sooner or later I'm sure. Your sins will find you out. It may take a year, or it may take five years. (Who knows?) I'm sure all the Christians will be praying about this; if they're not, they should. There's power in prayers, and prayer changes things. "So watch out, Blytheville." The truth will come out.

I want so much for Blytheville. I want our streets to be fixed so bad and just a few holes fixed (all). I want our park to look better and especially the swimming pool. I took two of my grandkids over there, and it was filthy (couldn't believe it).

And by the way, why do people have to tear up the benches and playground equipment? (That just makes me sick.)

Have y'all noticed the old Price Chopper building? Graffiti written all over. I would just like to see a cleaner town myself. (Just sayin.') I don't know how everyone else feels, but I have a pretty good idea!

We have a lot to pray about, not just what I mentioned (here), either.
