James Lamar Murphy

Mr. James Lamar Murphy, 76, of Blytheville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Heritage Square Nursing Home.

Mr. Murphy was born in New Albany, Miss., and worked at American Greetings for 23 years before becoming disabled. He was a member of Clearlake Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Thomas Pete and Vera Cartwright Murphy; one brother, Billy Murphy; and a sister, Deloris Sawyer.

Mr. Murphy leaves his wife of 55 years, Geraldine Murphy of Blytheville;

A son, James Danny Murphy of Blytheville;

Two daughters, Sandra Smith (and Mike) of Keiser and Karon Hall (and John) of Armorel; and

Five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Roller-Swift Chapel with Bro. Robert Duhom officiating. An online guest book is available at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com
