John L. Baldridge

Mr. John L. Baldridge, 85, of Leachville, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at the Monette Manor Nursing Center. Born in Childress, he was the son of the late Robert Porter and Gracie Sipes Baldridge and had lived most of his life in the Leachville area. He was a retired machinist for NIBCO Manufacturing in Blytheville and a longtime member of the Leachville First Assembly of God Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gearline Jeffrey Baldridge; a grandson, Matthew Steele; four brothers and one sister.

He leaves one son, Steve Baldridge of Leachville;

Two daughters, Donna Austin and Lisa Delbridge, both of Leachville;

Two sisters, Veda Grooms of Leachville and Lucille Coble of Jonesboro; and

Five grandchildren, Jeffrey Austin, Krista Shepard, Stephanie Baldridge, David Steele and Brandi Crawford.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. E.H. Jeffrey and the Rev. Tom Newman officiating.
