Elvin Davis

Mr. Elvin Davis, 74, of Benton, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in Benton. Born June 13, 1936, in Dell, he was a retired factory worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Davis and Lottie Mae Whaley Malone; his wife, Rosie Williams Davis; and a brother, Roosevelt Davis.

Mr. Davis leaves two daughters, Flora (and Jim) Ward and Yvonne (and Barron) Pippins, all of Benton;

Four sons, Willie (and Joann) Davis, Walter Harris and Alvin Davis of Blytheville, and Johnny Davis of Milwaukee; and

Twenty-three grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Hershel Lovelace of Little Rock, will take place at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday.
