Peggy 'Branscum' Gatewood

Peggy "Branscum" Gatewood, 42, was born at 5:29 p.m. on Sept. 11, 1968, in Chicago, the first child of Robert and Carolyn Branscum. She left this world on May 25, 2011, at her home in Paragould.

Waiting for her with open arms were her daddy, Robert Allen Branscum; grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Left behind with broken hearts include her husband, Billy Gatewood;

Her children, Beau, Dylan and Chelsea Gatewood of the home, and son Bradley Gilkey;

Her mother, Carolyn Branscum of Gosnell;

One brother, Robert and wife Cheryl and daughter Kaitlyn Branscum of Cabot;

Her grandmother, MayDean Smith of Jonesboro;

A second father, her uncle Charlie Bransum of Blytheville; and

Many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, and her puppy who's like a daughter, Isabelle.

Peggy was a 1987 graduate of Gosnell High School. She received her RN as part of the nursing class of 1993 at Mississippi County Community College (now Arkansas Northeastern College) in Blytheville. Peggy for years was a blood donor and in the end an organ donor. Peggy loved her family, God and her church family home. She will be forever be missed and loved every day of her loved ones' lives. God's peace be with you now and forever in the name of the father, son and the holly sprit.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, followed by a service at noon, with Larry Bulla officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
