Community support makes Wal-A-Thon a success
To the editor:
Kingdom Kids Outreach Ministries/Prince of Peace Church would like to say "Thank You" for the community's generous donations and support. The Second Annual "Walking in Excellent Health" Walk-A-Thon 2011 was a success. This success was a huge part of the community's donations and support.
We had a total of 154 to sign up for the walk-a-thon. We were able to give away 155 t-shirts, two bikes and one exercise bike along with other prizes that were donated by different businesses.
The support of local companies made the Second Annual Walk-A-Thom one of the best in the area. We are looking forward to your continued support to the youth in the community.
Our goal is not only to talk about excellent health, but also to bring families together. On April 16, 2011, many families came together in the community as one. Where there is united, there is strength. Again, thank you!
