Meals-on-Wheels benefit a success

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

To the editor:

The Mississippi County Senior Centers would like to thank Pastor, Terri Brassfield, and the wonderful members of Harvest Time Outreach, for making our Meals-on-Wheels benefit dinner the most successful fundraiser in our history!

We would also like to thank

-- Our entertainer for the evening, Robert Earl Davis, whose comedy act is "television worthy!"

-- Tom Wiktorek and the First United Methodist Church for their many, many hours of volunteering to deliver meals to the "home-bound" in our community.

-- Judge Randy Carney and the members of the Quorum Court, for their continual support.

-- Gov. Mike Beebe, and state Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, Secretary of State Mark Martin, and Mayor and Mrs. James Sanders.

-- Our table sponsors: Don and Sandra Smith of Century Property Management, Greene Pharmacy, Nucor Steel Arkansas, Southern Bancorp, Farmers Bank & Trust, Carney Funeral Home, Great River Medical, Gary Phillips and the Democratic Party of Mississippi County, Glen Samford and the Republican Party of Mississippi County, our Senior Advisory Council and Hubbard and Hoke Furniture.

-- And the volunteers of the Blytheville Senior Activity Center. You are the best!
