Blytheville Middle School literacy instructor Linda Snider kisses a pig at the end of the BMS "Renaissance Fair" March 31 inside the school's cafeteria. Snider received this "honor" by a popular vote of all the students and parents who attended the Family Night event, with each guest paying a dollar to vote for their favorite teacher to kiss the pig. BMS science teacher Jennifer Langston is holding the pig. All money raised by the voting will benefit the school's Science Department. The seventh- and eighth-graders have been studying the Renaissance period in their classes, and all activities at the Fair reflected those studies.
