Jean Hendrix

Mrs. Jean Hendrix, 87, of Osceola, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Born in Memphis June 1, 1923, to the late Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Brooks, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Osceola. A former sales clerk with Sears for ten years, she also served as Mississippi County Court Clerk for ten years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Fred Hendrix Sr.

She leaves two sons, Allen Wesley Hendrix of Cordova, Tenn., Fred Hendrix Jr. (and Janet) of Osceola;

Two daughters, Susan Dillard (and Wayne) and Venecia Hendrix, both of Osceola;

Eight grandchildren, Carey Hendrix of Hyde Park, Utah, Angie Culp (and Bob) of Nashville, Tenn., Fred Hendrix III (and Kim) of Osceola, Ricky Jones Jr. (and Tiffany) of Manila, Lori Davis of Largo, Fla., Frank Hendrix (and Catherine) of Atlanta, Craig Hendrix (and Lauren) of Paragould, and Gina Craig (and David) of Walls, Miss.; and

Ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Osceola, followed by interment at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens under the direction Roller-Swift Funeral Home.
