The Rev. James Franklin Lovelady

The Rev. James Franklin Lovelady, 64, of Blytheville, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in the Clear Lake Community near Blytheville, he was the son of Elliot F. and Lessie Hughes Lovelady, who preceded him in death.

He had been a lifelong Blytheville resident and had been employed by ACCO Cable Manufacturing, formerly of Blytheville. He was active in the community where he volunteered his time at the Blytheville Senior Activities Center and ministered regularly at the Mississippi County Union Mission in Blytheville. He was an active member of the Clear Lake Baptist Church near Blytheville where he served as a Sunday school teacher and bus driver.

He leaves his son, James F. Lovelady Jr. of Blytheville;

His ex-wife, Shirley Lovelady of Blytheville;

Five step-sons, Scotty Lynn Hammock, Ricky Hammock, Jeri Lynn Ennis and Dustin McCone, all of Blytheville and William Binkley of Ripley, Tenn.

Six step-daughters, Debbie McCone,Sandra West, Kay Hammock, and Bobbie Jo Carter, all of Blytheville, Tammy Wrinkles of Gosnell and Melissa Mirales of Osceola;

One sister, Geraldine Powdrill of Timpson, Texas; and

Two grandchildren, 28 step-grandchildren and 38 step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Clear Lake Baptist Church near Blytheville with the Rev. Robert P. Duhon officiating.
