Mr. John H. Crim, 94, of Paragould, passed from this life Monday, March 14, 2011, at Green Acres Nursing Home in Paragould. Born in Robinsonville, Miss., to William Thomas and Ollie Savannah Cannon Crim, he was a retired maintenance inspector for Ark-Mo Power for over 25 years. A self-made man with limited education, he was a provider for his family and Ark-Mo Power was his second home. He was a caretaker of his brothers and family to whom he was devoted and loyal to his responsibilities and never shirked from them. His devotion to his family and his strength in being able to cope with the tragedies in his life were the true foundation and character which made him who he was.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilma Richardson Crim; two children, Gregory and John William "Bill" Crim; two brothers, Tommy and Albert Crim; three sisters, Flossie White, Emily Haywood and Rose Anne Crim; and grandchildren and three great-grandchildren preceded him in death.

He leaves his children, Jerry Crim of Collierville, Tenn., and Lavada M. Silsby of Midwest City, Okla.; and

Two sisters, Martha Golden of Shreveport, La., and Joyce Crawford of Adrian, Mich.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Dogwood Cemetery with Mr. Jerry Crim providing the eulogy. Condolences may be e-mailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net
