Mrs. Florine Betty Marshall Guyton Johnson, 79, of Blytheville, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born Sept. 15, 1931, in Blytheville, she was retired from ACCOAs, and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Yarbro, where she served as an usher, Sunday school teacher, and choir member.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank James Johnson; her parents, Marshall and Maggie Guyton and Fannie Guyton; two brothers, John A. and Elder Vancel Guyton; and two sisters, Earnestine Stewart and Octavia Guyton McGhee.

Mrs. Johnson leaves to cherish her memory seven sisters, Mrs. Delois (and Charles) Sanders, Mrs. Mary Logan, Ms. Theodisha Guyton, Mrs. Bobbie (and Eddie) Posley, Mrs. Pauline Dotson, all of Blytheville, Verline Johnson of Key Largo, and Mrs. Nellie Wilkerson of Peoria;

Six brothers, Rev. A.J. (and Lena) Guyton Sr., Johnnie (and Lois) Guyton, Marshall (and Evelyn) Guyton, Willie (and Willie B.) Guyton, Jessie (and Emma) Guyton, and Thurman Guyton, all of Peoria;

Cousin/brother Robert (and Sellarstine) Campbell of Blytheville;

Goddaughter Marcie Logan of Memphis;

Adopted daughter Tamara (and Carl) Coleman of Osceola; and

Many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at First Missionary Baptist Church, 600 East McHaney Drive in Blytheville.

A celebration of her life, officiated by the Rev. Odale Jones with the Rev. Patrick Jackson, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Yarbro. Arrangements are by McDonald-Horne Funeral Home.
