Robert O. "Robbie" Talbot

Mr. Robert O. "Robbie" Talbot, 57, was born Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1953, the son of the late James Allen "J.A." and Juanita Mae Terry Talbot. He died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born in and a resident of Jonesboro, and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. Mr. Talbot was a cotton buyer for Dunavant Enterprises in Memphis and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro. He was a Sponsor in Perpetuity and past State Chariman for Ducks Unlimited, member of the Sons of American Revolution, and member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was preceded in death by one brother, David A. Talbot and his parents.

He leaves two sons, Robert Owen Talbot Jr. of Jonesboro and Blake Allen Talbot of Little Rock;

One daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Talbot of Fayetteville; and

One sister, Becky Lagrone and her husband, Jim, both of Little Rock.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Trumann, with Dr. Jim Lagrone and the Rev. Charles Cooper officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Terry Lamb, Tom Cross, Tommy Carter, Scott Taylor, Damon Slinkard and Brent Henderson.

Visitation was from 4-6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home.
