Mary Lou Maupin

Mrs. Mary Lou Maupin, 76, of Blytheville passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born in Portageville, Mo., to George Douglas and Elsie Pearl Sparks Riddle, she was a retired employee of the Blytheville Canning Company. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and watching wrestling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Maupin; three children, Gary Maupin, Patricia Griffin and Gearldine Hastings; two brothers and a sister.

She leaves her children, Wesley and Charlyne Maupin of Gosnell, Mack and Sherry Maupin of Paragould, Susie and Forrest Knight of Gosnell, Billy and Carol Maupin of Joiner, Jerry Maupin of Gosnell, Larry Maupin of Decatur, Ala., George Maupin of Blytheville, and Ricky and Bobbie Maupin of Osceola.

Two brothers, George Riddle Jr. of Palmersville, Tenn., and Noble Riddle of Fredricktown, Mo.;

A sister, Margaret Pennington of Brunswick, Me.; and

Twenty-two grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. today in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating. Burial followed in Dogwood Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cobb
