Ada Mae Jones Jefferson

Mrs. Ada Mae Jones Jefferson, 76, of Blytheville, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. She was born Dec. 20, 1933 in Roseland to Willie Jones Sr. and Ada Miles Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, D.C. Jefferson; by two sons, Cleveland Spears and Joseph Spears; by four sisters, Augusta Grant, Gracie Mae Jones, Ida Bea Paige and Roberta Mosley; and by two brothers, Willie Jones Jr. and Lawrence Jones.

She leaves two daughters, Annie Sargent and Linda Stewart, both of Blytheville;

Two sons, James (and Mary) Spears and Eddie Spears, both of Blytheville;

One sister, Susie Miller of Gary, Ind.;

One sister-in-law, Pearlie Mae Jones of Gary;

Two special friends, Betty Kelly and Jessie Mae Williams, both of Blytheville; and

Sixteen grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville with the Rev. Odale Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Ridge Cemetery at Burdette under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
