Both Tigers and Lady Tigers fall to Cougars

ARMOREL-- The Armorel Tigers were defeated, 76-59, by the Izard County Consolidated Cougars on Friday night in a 1A matchup between the two schools. The Cougars were led by Taylor Reynolds with a game-high 28 points. Junior center, Monroe Carr, led the Tigers with 16 points, five assists, four rebounds and three blocks. BLYTHEVILLE - The Blytheville Chickasaws defeated the Forrest City Mustangs, 74-47, on Friday night in a 5A East conference matchup. The Chicks led the Mustangs,17-15 after the first quarter of play. OSCEOLA-- The Osceola Seminoles defeated the Gosnell Pirates, 83-65, Friday night in a 3A/4A combined conference match-up. The Seminoles led, 24-11, after one quarter and stretched their lead to 38-20 by halftime. Gosnell closed the gap to within five points, 46-41, with only four minutes left in third period before the Seminoles went on a 15-0 run during the next three minutes.
