BFD extinguishes chimney fire

The Blytheville Fire Department (BFD) was dispatched to 116 West Magnolia in response to a 911 call placed by a neighbor that noticed unusual smoke coming out of his neighbor's chimney Monday afternoon. The BFD arrived on the scene at 2:35 p.m. and took nineteen minutes to extinguish the chimney fire caused by papers being burned in the home's wood burning stove.
